We’re In This Too
Level 1 drought measures are in effect
The City has implemented measures to reduce its water use. Learn more about how much we’ve accomplished.
Key Water Saving Actions
City Hall
Sprinklers have been shut off at City Hall across the lawn. Additionally, new low-flow sprinklers will be installed to support the trees and existing drought-tolerant landscaping. The large pool near the Kavli Theatre has been permanently drained.
Landscaping
Our beautifully landscaped medians throughout the City will be supported with drip and low-flow irrigation, as well as recycled watering with a water truck.
Mulch
The City recycles tree trimmings to create mulch to spread around landscaping to better hold water in the soil. Not only has it been widely applied to City landscapes, but we also offer a free mulch pick-up bin located at the Grant Brimhall Library that is stocked weekly. The bin is located near the Children’s Library entrance of the building.
Low-flow Devices
All City facilities are equipped with low-flow appliances and devices.
